Although it is a superb labor saving device, many domestic articles could have been affected by the dishwashing cycles resulting in loss of gloss, cloudiness, corrosion and other visuals defects.

Test Description
The test will be conducted in compliance with the following standards
- EN 12875-1
- EN 12875-4
- EN 12875-5
EN 12875 Part 1 specifies a test method to assess the resistance of domestic articles made from ceramic, glass, glass ceramic, vitreous enamel, metal and plastics against the combined chemical, thermal and mechanical stresses of mechanical dishwashing in domestic dishwashers.
EN 12875 Part 4: Rapid test for domestic ceramic articles
Nevertheless the accelerated test is a useful method for predicting the dishwashing resistance of ceramic tableware products for domestic use.
EN 12875 Part 5: Rapid test for ceramic catering articles
It is a useful method for predicting the dishwashing resistance of the glaze surface of ceramic products intended for catering use. The catering industry requires significant quantities of products that are decorated on the glaze surface (for example customized or bespoke ware), and such ware may have an overall durability which is lower than that of the glaze surface itself.
Remarks
Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. Detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon order purchase. If the battery is included, additional battery requirements shall be arranged.
