Service Scope
ISTA certification is one of the most well-known and implemented international parameters for the regulation of goods transportation. It consists of a series of tests that aim to establish quality standards with the purpose of guaranteeing safety during the distribution cycle.
Obtaining the ISTA certification means that a company can provide visible proof (in the form of a label) showing that its product + packaging systems have undergone a series of tests to determine their ability to endure a normal distribution cycle .
SGS can offer physical and performance package testing with analytical and research services combined with the knowledge and test equipment necessary to properly test your package with ISTA shipping standards .
TAPPI standards are testing procedures and related practices used in the measurement, evaluation, and description of pulp, paper, and related products, including raw materials used in their manufacture, use, or in scientific investigations of any such substances.
The test will be conducted in compliance with the following standards based on selection
- SAME standard
- Performance test on carton box (TAPPI)
- Bursting strength
- Moisture content
- Smoothness
- Edgewise compressive strength
- Tearing strength of paper

Test Description
There are specific standards required to be tested for the compliance of the US and EU markets.
