Cosmetics and Toys Toxicological Risk Assessment

Service Scope

The safety of cosmetic products to consumer health is very crucial since most of them are daily application products. Safety assessment hence becomes a requirement in many countries. Does the cosmetic product pose any risk to human health when it is used as intended? Does the cosmetic product require any additional safety instruction to ensure its product safety? Do you need to get a cosmetic safety assessment report from a qualified safety assessor?

On the other side, Toys with liquid / gel / paste / powder, which can be consumed by children unexpectedly, shall be evaluated by toxicological risk assessment for their ingredients. In Toys regulation, a toxicological risk assessment is generally not mandatory to be performed but have been generally adopted by the U.S. / EU markets.

To help you achieve compliance and ensure product safety, we have a network of highly skilled and experienced safety assessors in SGS to help evaluate the product safety to consumer health when the cosmetic product is used under a normal and foreseeable condition of use. We are fully equipped to get you through product compliance.
