Service Scope
In EU, EN ISO 4210 applies to young adult bicycles with maximum saddle height of 635 mm or more and less than 750 mm, city and trekking bicycles, mountain bicycles, and racing bicycles that have a maximum saddle height of 635 mm or more including folding bicycles.
There is another classification – toy bicycles for children. Bicycles with a maximum saddle height of more than 435 mm, measured as the vertical distance from the ground to the top of the seat surface, with the seat in a horizontal position and with the seat pillar set to the minimum insertion mark. Such toy bicycles shall comply with EN 71 and tested as toys.
In the U.S., there is no specific requirement/standard designed for adult bicycles. Generally, the market adopts EN ISO 4210 as a safety reference. For toy bicycles, ASTM F963 shall be applied and related toy testing shall be applied.

Test Description
There are specific standards required to be tested for compliance in the US and EU markets. Therefore, the following tests will be included according to the US / EU market test package.

| Prop 65 Court Case (US California) | Chemical testing according to US California Proposition 65. Specific court case will be selected. |
| CPSC Physical and Mechanical Test (US) | Physical safety testing applied for items designed for children under 12 years of age or below |
| CPSC Flammability to solid (US) | Flammability testing applied for items designed for children under 12 years of age or below |
| CPSIA Total Lead content (US) | Total Lead content shall be tested according to CPSIA for children items |
| CPSIA Tracking Label (US) | Tracking Label shall be required on both product & packaging for children products |
| EN71 (EU) | A Physical and mechanical standard for ensuring the performance of toy according to EU standard |
| EN ISO4210 (EU) | A Physical and mechanical standard of Safety requirements for bicycles according to EU standard |
Remarks
Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. Detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon order purchase. If the battery is included, additional battery requirements shall be arranged.
