Service Scope
Color that fades easily under light. Color that stains other lighter color textiles against rubbing. Color that leaks after wash. After textile coloring, how to judge if the color could suffice its use?
Colorfastness test package determines the basic color quality by measuring the color change (of the test sample) and color staining (to standard white fibre that are placed together during test) at various conditions.
Test Type
General Apparel
The test package consolidates the most commonly requested colorfastness tests to help evaluate the color change and staining at different conditions.
Outdoor Use
On top of general apparel, intense exposure to light and corresponding colorfastness requirement is enhanced.
Skin Contact Use
On top of general apparel, contact with perspiration is expected and corresponding colorfastness requirement is added.
- White Color/Indigo Dye
Some colors are especially venerable to color changing due to atmospheric phenol, ozone or nitrogen oxides. If your sample is white or denim, this additional test package helps evaluate color change under these extra conditions.
Remark: Test item in “General Apparel / Outdoor Use / Skin Contact Use” are EXCLUDED. Please apply separately.

Test Description
Outdoor Use / General Apparel / Skin Contact Use
Test Item:
- Colorfastness to washing (if washable)
- Colorfastness to dry cleaning (if drycleanable)
- Colorfastness to water
- Colorfastness to rubbing/crocking
- Colorfastness to light
- Colorfastness to perspiration
The test items will be adjusted depending on the end use, marketplace and actual sample.
White Color/Indigo Dye
Test Item:
- Colorfastness to Phenolic Yellowing
- Colorfastness to Ozone
- Colorfastness to Burnt Gas Fumes
The test items will be adjusted depending on the marketplace and actual sample.
Remarks
The test items will be adjusted depending on your product type and age range. Only specific test items will be applied to selected product type, test type and destination market. Detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon purchase.
The package includes only one result for each applicable test item. If sample is a finished product with multiple parts (e.g. shell fabric, lining fabric), please select corresponding quantity of test. In case insufficient test quantity is chosen compared to actual sample, additional cost will be quoted upon sample arrival and before test starts.
