What is RoHS?
RoHS refers to “Restriction of Certain Hazardous Substances” in the EU Directive 2011/65/EU. It restricts the use of lead and other potentially hazardous substances including Cadmium, Mercury Chromium VI, PBBs and PBDEs contained in electrical and electronic products. RoHS limits these substances to 0.1% or 1,000 ppm (except for cadmium, which is limited to 0.01% or 100 ppm) by weight of homogenous material.
Without RoHS compliance, your electrical and electronics products may no longer be sold in Europe and countries adapted to the EU Directive.
Service Scope
Determine whether your electrical and electronic product being sold complies with the RoHS restricted substances requirements. Our EU RoHS test cover restricted substances requirements 2011/65/EU and its amending directive EU 2015/863 by using XRF screening and wet chemical analysis.

Test Details
Using XRF screening, we can get a quick indication of the presence of hazardous substances and their location within the product. This testing method is particularly suited to gaining a quick overview of the end product.
If high levels of restricted substances are found further tests may be carried out using wet chemical analysis. This restricted substances testing method offers accurate results and verifies any anomalies found during XRF analysis.

Remarks
Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. Detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email to upon order purchase.
Turnaround time (TAT) and service price are subject to the content specified in the service scope and feature. Failure to provide test-ready samples or application documents would cause a longer period of TAT.
