Service Scope
More than 1 year has passed and over 600 lighter models have been removed from the European market and a large number of lighters have been recalled through RAPEX (The Rapid Alert System for Non-Food Products) when they are found to be non-child resistance as defined in standard EN 13869 or the lighter is classified as a novelty lighter. Apart from safety requirement, chemical requirement shall be complied.
The test will be conducted in compliance with the following standards
- REACH Regulation
- Lead
- Organotin
- SCCP
- REACH PAH
- Cadmium
- Phthalates
- BS EN 13869, ISO 9994 & ISO 22702 (EU) Standard
- Prop 65 Court Case (US California) Standard
- ASTM F400-19 & F2201-19 (US) Standard

Test Description
There are specific standards required to be tested for compliance in the US and EU markets. Therefore, the following tests will be included according to the US / EU market test package.

Remarks
Only applicable test items will be conducted on selected product nature and destination market. Detailed test item list will be included in order confirmation email upon order purchase. If the battery is included, additional battery requirements shall be arranged.
