Gaining access to the North American market is complicated, and the rules for product compliance can be confusing. The North America Listed Mark will help clear your path to the US and Canada markets by demonstrating that your electrical and electronic products comply with applicable US (OSHA) and Canadian (SCC) safety standards.
As a Nationally Recognized Test Laboratory (NRTL), SGS can test and certify your products for the US and Canadian market (NRTL Certification).
Each NRTL has a scope of test standards that they are recognized for, and each NRTL uses its own unique registered certification mark(s) to designate product conformance to the applicable product safety test standards.
As an NRTL officially recognized by the American Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) we evaluate and test your products to determine whether:
- They comply with the national safety standards
- The materials, production, and conditions of production comply with the Product Safety requirements
- The manufacturer’s quality system guarantees consistent quality products
SGS North America can certify products to relevant US and Canadian standards through third-party testing and certification in our NRTL OSHA accredited facilities. If your product meets the NRTL testing and factory inspection requirements, it is permitted to carry the SGS North America Mark as a visible sign of its compliance.
